Description
The Immedia SlingOn is primarily designed for easy application of a hoist sling in bed without the need for logrolling or moving the user and is suitable for those with limited mobility who require frequent hoisting. The SlingOn is a useful aid for use with bariatric patients or those who cannot be placed on their side. The hoist aid consists of two separate ultra-low friction nylon slide sheets held together by snap buttons in the corners and it has handles along the sides for enhanced grip.
The Immedia SlingOn is a convenient solution for carers seeking friendlier methods of patient transfer, whilst the comfort the attachment provides is a welcome relief for patients with low mobility.
The Immedia SlingOn is easy to use:
1: Fasten the press studs in all four corners. Fold the Immedia SlingOn from the short side in 20-30 cm steps (at least as many times as there is a crossed stitching at each functional handle). Position the SlingOn under the user either from the head or foot end so that the open end faces away from the user and the folded part is under the head, pillow and shoulders. Roll out the SlingOn underneath the user in stages. It is an advantage to have more than two carers, e.g. one carer holds SlingOn at the top while the other carers press down on the mattress. Fold out one wing at a time.
2: When the Immedia SlingOn is in place, apply the hoist sling between the two layers of the SlingOn. The hoist sling is applied in the same way as the Immedia SlingOn. Pull from the head end towards the seat in small steps. When the hoist sling is in place, remove the top part of the SlingOn. The user can now be hoisted.

The user is always lifted in the sling, never in SlingOn. Always remove the top part of the SlingOn before hoisting.
